Scholarship Application Process

1. Eligibility
Applicants must be graduating seniors from a high school video/film production program. Applicants must either have a film accepted for screening at the National Film Festival for Talented Youth or win an award at this year’s Northwest High School Film Festival, have been accepted to a college or university for advanced studies in film/tv/media productions, have a strong letter of recommendation from their high school film/tv/media teacher, and demonstrate financial need.

2. How to apply
The application process for 2021 awards has closed. In the future, students can get a copy of the JDogg application form either from NFFTY organizers, or download the form from the NWHSFF website, depending on which festival will host the scholarship competition that year. Complete the form (electronically), provide requested attachments, and send to the JDogg Film Scholarship committee at:

3. Funding amount
$5,000 – $10,000 scholarship award will be sent to the school/college to which the winning applicant has been accepted for film/tv/media studies.
